Une étude de paléogénomique, coordonnée par le Cirad et le Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle (MNHN), publiée le 20 juillet dans Nature communications, dévoile des avancées significatives dans la compréhension de l'histoire évolutive des agents pathogènes des plantes. L’étude s'est concentrée sur une bactérie pathogène des agrumes, utilisant des échantillons d'herbiers historiques comme source d'ADN de la bactérie pour reconstruire son passé.
