Abstract

The conservation of biodiversity, and particularly of cultivated biodiversity or agro-biodiversity,is an issue of growing importance,particularly due to the acceleration of global change that is affecting the planet, human health, and nutrition. This article presentst he strategy and the diversity of conservation actions of horticultural genetic resources as currently practiced in France. It also emphasizes the international horticultural connections of the French Republic,which include temperate, Mediterranean,as well as tropical environments, particularlyconsidering overseas departments and territories
